Czech Republic - a fascinating and very friendly country

CZ-71

We are living in a digital age. If you yawn at this thought, know that you are creating a digital trail of your history as you go about your day. Just as a Roman Centurion may have once stood guard over something here in Prague and had a life, you too are leaving your mark on the world. Here in Prague, you can today stand on the same cobblestones where our historical centurion once stood, close your eyes, and take in the smells and sounds of 2000 years ago. All of a sudden a buddy awakens you, look alive dipshit the Sargent is coming!

A brief history - Prague is old, very old. Around 500 BC, one of the Celtic tribes known now as the Boil named the region of Prague, Bohemia. Trade routes intersected from Southern to Northern Europe here at the river Vltava. Sometime in the 700's the first settlement was established in the Lesser Town (Mala Strana) area of today's Prague.

We will step into the "Way Back Machine" for all you Sherman and Peabody fans and take a look at Prague, the beautiful, friendly capitol of the Czech Republic.

Fast forward, we spent 17 hours in the air. Changing planes in Moscow with just enough time to pee before boarding to Prague. Arriving late at night and spending the night at the airport hotel, we had a quick breakfast and used a bus and subway to get to downtown Prague. Stepping off the subway - our first impression...

Interesting note - You may have noticed on the right side a sign - Pasta Oner might sound like an Italian dish you've never heard of and to be cool don't ask just order, but no, it's the name of the artist who painted this!
